Applying for membership at an early age offers significant benefits. By registering your child as a member, they gain recognition within the community and become eligible to start receiving member distributions and access to the Community Assistance Benefits program (CAB). Distribution funds are securely placed in trust and will be available to them when they turn 18, providing a strong foundation for their future. Take advantage of this opportunity to invest in your child’s connection to their community and financial well-being.

The Indian Registration Administration (IRA) provides resources and assistance to individuals applying for their Indian Status. They also update the Indian Register, issue Certificate of Indian Status (CIS) cards, and act as a guarantor for Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS) cards.
